Subdomains

The platform supports a parent-child domain hierarchy so you can organise root domains and their subdomains together.

Adding a Subdomain

  1. First, ensure the parent domain is already added and verified.
  2. Click Add Domain and enter the subdomain name (e.g. api or api.staging).
  3. Select the parent domain from the Parent domain dropdown.
  4. Click Add Domain.

The platform automatically builds the full domain name by appending the parent domain. For example:

  • Subdomain name api + parent example.comapi.example.com

Automatic Verification

Subdomains of a verified parent domain are automatically verified on creation. No additional DNS setup is required.

Viewing the Domain Tree

On the Domain Detail page for a root domain, you'll see a Subdomain Tree section listing every subdomain and its verification status. Each subdomain links to its own detail page.

On the Domains list page, subdomains appear indented under their parent with a └─ prefix for visual clarity.

Scanning Subdomains

Subdomains are scanned independently. When creating a scan, each verified subdomain appears in the domain dropdown as a separate entry.
